General Description:
The Awards Committee Director serves as chair of the Awards Committee.  The Awards committee shall plan and manage the RMDA Awards Banquets. This position is not entitled to a vote.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent RMDA in a manner befitting a Board member.
  • Have full knowledge of RMDA rules and have said rules readily available.
  • Attend scheduled meetings:
      • Monthly Board meetings
      • Awards Committee meetings
      • General meetings
      • Awards banquets
  • Provide a monthly report to the Board:
      • Awards Committee Proposals
      • Status of Special Award distribution
  • Actively recruit Awards Committee members.
  • Work with the Awards Committee in all facets of planning and managing the Awards Banquets:
      • Work within approved budget to plan banquets
      • Present tentative banquet plans to Board for approval.
      • Work with President to ensure any necessary contracts are signed.
      • Ensure accuracy of award recipients’ information
      • Choose and order awards
  • Respond to communications appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Represent players’ best interests while adhering to RMDA rules.
